Collaboration: Bespoke Verse

I've recently been working on some illustration and hand-lettering for the wonderful Bespoke Verse. Jo's poems are both touching and humorous, and made the nicest 'mini-briefs' for my illustration work. I really enjoyed working on these and think they'll make great gifts for those hard-to-buy-for friends and family! The new nautical.

New A3 sized art prints have landed in the shop, and although I painted these with the sea in mind there's something a bit more biological and sophisticated to these Crustacea...

Part of a new range of prints based on curiosities, inspired by biological drawings and Victorian diagrams, these prints would add drama and intrigue to any dining space or kitchen. Digitally printed onto a quality heavy weight textured paper, these are definitely 'the new nautical'. Get them here.

Cotswold Show & few fresh cuts!

I'm doing the last few bits and pieces in ready for the Cotswold Show in Cirencester park this weekend, 2nd & 3rd July...think I'm (almost) there! My last minute flap was finding tables for the occasion; luckily some lovely friends of ours got hold of a key for the church in the village and we snook in after dark and borrowed three! Phew! If you're around, do come and say hello, I love meeting everyone for a good natter at these events- I'll be in the rural craft tent...

I also couldn't wait to show you these, I LOVE them! Last weekend I finally got my brushes out and got a little obsessed with painting ships in different glass bottles on lovely tiny 5" canvases...most of my work looks at the seemingly mundane, everyday and (admittedly) a little naff, but still, a little piece of 'Britishness' and totally re-freshed! Hope you like them, I'm planning on getting some archive prints done of these a little bigger ready to pop into some frames. Oh, Cotswold Ewe!

Since starting, this venture has opened me up to some really interesting people and opportunities. I've recently been working with The Cotswold Sheep Society who hosted the International Jumper knitting Marathon in Meysey Hampton which I ran a stall at (here); and have come up with a design based on the wonderful breed and the Cotswold's rich wool heritage, markets and wool churches, but for today's interiors.. 

'Cotswold ewe' linen union tea towels will be available by the end of the month so keep watching my Etsy store, and will also be available at The Cotswold Show in Cirencester, July 2nd-3rd through me and the society's stand.

I also have a limited edition of 26 framed art prints in a smart 'Cotswold green', all signed, dated and numbered ready to hang.
